Creative Director

Manage all aspects of a design and fine arts studio. Developed customer clientele and vendor base. Designed traditional and innovative artwork for event identification. Provided consultation expertise on design, print/pre-press, and commissioned artwork needs for clients.


2006 - 2007      Sandra & Leon Levine Jewish Community Center, Charlotte, NC

Creative Director

Responsible for internal and external communications for the Community Center. Plan and assist marketing strategy and execution utilizing a $60K budget. Oversees and manages marketing department, all print advertising, promotional materials, media buying and website presence. Created and maintained production schedule and work log. Facilitated marketing strategies used to develop cultural programs and increase new membership.


2002 - 2006      Art Institute of Charlotte, Charlotte, NC/ AI Online, Pittsburgh, PA

Department Chair/Graphic Design Faculty

Teaching design studio courses for 600+ undergraduates: Business law & copyright; Marketing and conceptual development; portfolio design; typography, independent studies; internships. Selected to act as Department Chair overseeing all administrative and fiscal requirements; managed 15 full and part-time faculty and 300 (+) undergraduate students; Designed and created print and production materials. 2001-2002      AREVA/Framatome, Lynchburg, VA

Business Analyst

Responsible for data collection and analysis on monthly sales and marketing efforts, current operational bids and fiscal tracking. Coordinated with regional sales managers, information technology, strategic marketing, and operations to design better marketing information conduits. Project bid team member reviewing warranty and contractual relationship parameters of bid. Participated in providing the data support that achieved a $100 million dollar contract. Researched and created informational databases as well a visual design support in a strategic national proposal supporting new plant investment and construction.


1997 - 2001      Central Virginia Electric Cooperative, Arrington, VA

Communications/Marketing Specialist

Responsible for the internal and external communication strategies for an 11 county, 14,000 + members rural electric cooperative. Designed and produced brochures, newsletters, publications, signage and product design. Facilitator for production and pre-press design as well as evaluated vendors and service bureaus. Created and facilitate exhibits and events. Created branding strategies, developing designed protocols. Coordinated and oversaw vendor & service bureau relationships. Established a Speaker’s Bureau with local community and organization leaders.


1995 - 1997      U.S. Army European Headquarters, Stuttgart, GE

Section Chief, GS-09, Graphic Illustrator

Manager of design shop for the Directorate of Logistics and Security and was later promoted to Senior Designer for the European Headquarters. Designing national and international publications. Conceived and designed unit logos and badges. Created operational presentations for national leadership including the Secretary of State and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Instrumental in creating clear logistical visuals that were used to brief the White House. Managed civilian and military personnel. Facilitated, researched, and established budgetary requirements for capital purchases to increase studio performance.
